On 6 May, 2022 by 05:42 ET, SpaceX launched 53 Starlink broadband internet satellites from the Kennedy Space Centre, Florida, using the Falcon 9 rocket.
The launch lit-up the early morning sky over the launch site.
Sunlight reflecting off the high altitude rocket plume gases that were emitted by the rocket in the twilight, caused an illusory jellyfish sensation seen by millions of people in Florida.
There were also reports of people seeing it from the neighbouring state of Georgia.
This jellyfish UFO was luckily, explained by experts and understood as a rocket launch-related phenomenon.
One of those who saw it is Mary Jane Bruce who lives in Belleview, Florida.
She was taking her usual early morning walk at the time and snapped this picture (over the trees) which she shared with Science World.
The “space jellyfish” effect lasted for some minutes.
This time, unlike in other UFO stories, the pictures were clear.
Some other people also had pictures.
Mary Jane Bruce described the glowing halo effect as stunning and cool to watch.
Space jellyfish effects are rare, but may form only in the twilight of dawn or dusk when a space rocket is launched.
