Ernie Puffett, 84 years old, has enrolled for Physics GCSE at Chichester College in West Sussex, England.
His old school re-admitted him, long after he tried five times and failed to pass the examination.
He is giving the examination a sixth try.
It is more than 66 years since he failed his Physics ‘O’ level examination and he is determined to pass it now.
The course fees for the pensioner have been waived by his care home, Care UK’s Chichester Grange, so that he can accomplish his wish.
He is currently, attending the weekly Physics classes in Chichester College preparatory for the GCSE examination in Summer, 2023.
The school Principal, Helen Loftus, says there is no age limit on studying in the college and they are glad to welcome back Mr Puffett.
